Bike to the park store (Interlochen State Park) for a snack
Tubing on the Platte River
Canoeing on the Betsie River Alvina's in Karlin (10 minutes from the house).
Canoeing on the Manistee River (near Mesick, 20 minutes from the house).
Ballooning over Grand Traverse County
Hike/Mountain Bike at Lake Ann State Park

Crystal Lake Alpaca Farm (and boutique - 1/2 mile from Gwen Frostic) to see the Alpacas and pick up some really warm socks.
